Starting something new often brings questions, and that’s completely normal. Below are answers to some of the most common questions people have while completing their training with The Independent Travel Consultants.

If your question is not covered here, please contact the training team and we will be happy to help.

Is there an upfront training fee?

No. There is no upfront training fee to join The Independent Travel Consultants.

Your training is included as part of your £50 monthly membership, which begins when you move into the onboarding stage and your first membership payment is made.

This membership also includes ongoing support, access to resources, and continued training once you are live.

How is the training delivered?

Your training is delivered through our online learning platform Coassemble.

All core modules are completed there, and your progress is tracked within the platform. The Training Hub you are currently using acts as a guide alongside the platform and provides additional information, resources, and support.

Do I need previous travel industry experience?

No prior experience in the travel industry is required.

Our training is designed to support both people who are completely new to the industry and those who may already have some experience.

The Foundations Training modules will introduce the key concepts you need to understand before working with clients.

How long does the training take?

Training is flexible and can be completed at a pace that works for you.

Some people complete the modules relatively quickly, while others prefer to take their time and work through the content gradually alongside other commitments.

The most important thing is that you focus on understanding the material rather than rushing through it.

Can I start selling holidays while I am still training?

No. You can only begin handling enquiries and making bookings once you have gone live as a consultant.

During training the focus is purely on learning and understanding how the business operates. Once you go live and receive access to the necessary systems and tools, you will then be able to begin working with clients.

When will I receive my consultant email and system access?

Your consultant email account and operational system access are provided once you go live.

While you are in training you will not yet have access to booking systems, supplier logins, or operational tools. These are only provided once you have completed training and are ready to begin working with clients.

What happens once I finish the training modules?

Once you complete your Foundations Training on Coassemble, we will move into the final preparation stage before you go live.

This stage helps ensure you feel confident about the key processes involved in operating your travel business and gives you the opportunity to ask any final questions before launch.

When everything is ready, we will schedule your Go Live date.

What happens on Go Live day?

On your Go Live day you will officially launch as an Independent Travel Consultant.

At this point you will receive:

  • your consultant email account
  • access to booking tools and operational systems
  • access to the full consultant intranet
  • operational guides and resources

You will then be able to begin working with clients and building your travel business.

What support is available during training?

Support is available throughout your training journey.

If you need help with anything, you can contact the training team and we will do our best to guide you. You may also be able to attend live training sessions or workshops which help reinforce key areas of your learning.

Remember that learning something new takes time, and it is completely normal to have questions as you go.

What if I need more time to complete the training?

Training is designed to be flexible. If you need more time to complete your modules, that is perfectly fine.

The most important thing is that you feel confident in your understanding before moving forward to the next stage.

If you have concerns about your progress or need guidance, please contact the training team and we will be happy to help.

What happens after I go live?

Going live is just the beginning of your journey.

Once you launch as a consultant, you will continue to have access to ongoing training, supplier sessions, business development support, and resources designed to help you grow your travel business.

Our goal is to support you not just during training, but throughout your journey as an Independent Travel Consultant.
