Going live as an Independent Travel Consultant is an exciting milestone. It marks the point where your training moves into real-world experience and you begin building your travel business.

Before your official Go Live day, there are a few important steps to complete. These ensure you feel confident, understand how the business operates, and are ready to begin working with clients.

The checklist below outlines the key requirements that need to be completed before you can launch.

1. Complete Foundations Training

All core training modules must be completed on Coassemble.

These modules provide the essential knowledge required to understand the travel industry, how our business operates, and the responsibilities involved in working with clients.

  • Completing this training ensures you are familiar with:
  • how the travel industry works
  • different types of travel products
  • the role of suppliers and tour operators
  • how client enquiries are handled
  • the booking process and customer service expectations
  • the importance of compliance and customer protection

Your progress and completion of these modules will be recorded within the training platform.

2. Attend Required Training Sessions

From time to time we run live training sessions, workshops, or briefings that help reinforce key areas of your learning.

These sessions may cover topics such as:

  • understanding suppliers
  • enquiry handling and client communication
  • practical booking processes
  • preparing to launch your travel business

While not every session will be mandatory, attending these sessions can be extremely helpful as you prepare to go live.

3. Understand Key Business Processes

Before going live, it is important that you feel comfortable with the fundamental processes involved in operating as an Independent Travel Consultant.

This includes understanding:

  • how client enquiries are handled
  • how quotes and proposals are prepared
  • how bookings are processed through approved suppliers
  • the importance of working within travel regulations
  • the responsibilities involved in representing the business professionally

The purpose of this step is not to expect perfection, but to ensure you feel confident in the core principles of how the business works.

4. Complete Your Onboarding Review

Before your launch, we will carry out a final onboarding review.

This is simply an opportunity to confirm that:

  • your training has been completed
  • you understand the key processes involved in the role
  • you feel ready to begin working with clients

This stage is designed to support you, answer any final questions, and ensure you feel confident about your next steps.

5. Confirm Your Go Live Date

Once everything is complete and you feel ready, we will schedule your Go Live date.

This marks the official start of your journey as a live consultant within The Independent Travel Consultants.

What Happens on Go Live Day

When you go live, you will receive access to the systems and tools required to begin operating your travel business.

This includes:

  • your consultant email account
  • access to operational systems and booking tools
  • access to the full consultant intranet
  • operational guides and resources
  • ongoing support from the team

At this point, you will be able to begin handling enquiries, working with clients, and building your travel business.

Remember

Going live is the beginning of your journey, not the end of your learning.

Support, training, and development continue after you launch, and we are here to help you as you grow your business and gain experience.

Take your time completing your training, focus on understanding the foundations, and when the time comes to go live, you will be ready to begin with confidence.
