What inspired you to be a travel consultant?

I’m Mike, the founder of Nordic Travel Table — a Finland-based Nordic travel agency helping travellers from the UK discover Finland, Scandinavia and the wider Nordic region with confidence, ease and a local perspective. I first came to Finland as a visitor and loved this part of the world so much that I eventually made it my home and now love being able to show off this part of the world! Moving here allowed me a fresh perspective on life and allowed me to start my own company as a travel consultant, there's nothing I love more than hearing about how much people have enjoyed discovering this part of the world with my help. Whether you are planning your first trip to Finland, a winter escape to Lapland, a food-focused city break in Helsinki or Stockholm, exploring Iceland’s glaciers, or a fully tailor-made Nordic itinerary, I help turn ideas into carefully planned travel experiences that feel personal, practical and memorable.

What do you love most about working as an independent travel consultant?

That I am able to work independently whilst also have the support and know-how of a wider group of consultants.

Is there anything you specialise in?

Nordic & Scandinavian travel - Finland/Sweden/Denmark/Norway/Iceland. I am based full-time in Helsinki/Finland and can therefore offer first hand experience of the best way to discover this beautiful part of the world.
