What inspired you to be a travel consultant?


My love of travel - I've spent more than 25 years living in different parts of the world. We've therefore had lots of visitors and as well as my personal travel, I've spent lots of time organising trips for family and friends.



What do you love most about working as an independent travel consultant?


The support you get from the team and other consultants.

Is there anything you specialise in?


Not specifically but I've spent 12 years living in 4 different countries in Africa and 5 years in the Middle East and another 5 in Asia and travelled extensively during those periods so my knowledge of Africa, Asia and the Middle East is strong. We have family in Canada so we've travelled there too. Luxury holidays and bespoke itineraries are what I know best with a little bit of adventure thrown in.

I'm a convert to packing cubes. I'm not convinced they are a space saver but they do keep you organised. I never travel without a couple of clothes pegs - for occasional washing, keeping curtains properly closed or keeping towels on sun beds.
