What inspired you to be a travel consultant?

I live in Southampton, the UK's busiest cruise port, and I've sailed on a lot of ships, from P&O's Iona and Britannia to Cunard's Queen Mary 2. I still remember my first balcony cabin: up early, sitting outside, watching the sun come up, and realising how much the right cabin changes a holiday. Over the years I've found the ship matters less than the cabin and the level of service you choose, and that choice is where good advice makes the biggest difference. I became an independent consultant to help people pick the right level for them, from a balcony to a Grills suite, and to make the Southampton end of the trip easy, especially for travellers flying in from abroad.
