Do I need travel industry experience to join?
Not at all! We welcome both complete beginners and seasoned professionals. Full virtual training is provided, along with ongoing support, mentoring, and development to help you succeed.
What kind of company am I joining?
Jamie Wake Travel is an independent, UK-based travel company—small enough to know every homeworker by name, but with access to over 200 trusted suppliers so you can compete with the big players.
Can I really be my own boss?
Yes! As an Independent Travel Consultant, you run your own business under our trusted umbrella. You set your hours, choose your clients, and build your brand—while still enjoying a sense of community and support.
Do I need to handle payments or open a merchant account?
No. All client payments are securely processed through Jamie Wake Travel and our partners at PTS, meaning you don’t need to worry about payment gateways or financial admin.
How much can I earn?
Our generous commission structure starts at 80%. Repeat bookings earn you 85%, and once you exceed £40,000 in gross commission in a calendar year, you’ll earn 90% on everything thereafter—including repeat clients.
What are the booking costs and expenses involved?
We aim to keep costs low. Booking admin fees cover compliance costs, protections, and credit card charges, and you’ll always know upfront what you’ll earn. Optional tools like websites, quotation tools, marketing tools or enhancedCRM systems may carry extra charges, but you choose what’s right for your business.
Can I use my own branding and business name?
Absolutely! You can trade under a name of your choice. All we ask is that your branding clearly states:

This builds trust with clients and ensures full compliance and transparency.
Are there opportunities to attend events or FAM trips?
Yes! We work closely with suppliers who invite consultants on FAM (familiarisation) trips and exclusive events to experience destinations first-hand—so you can sell with confidence and passion.
Are there rewards or incentives for selling more?
Definitely. You’ll have access to supplier-led incentives, bonuses, and even voucher rewards. We love recognising and celebrating success—however you define it.
